Social Policy Project Presentation

Research several social policy organizations. Use a combination of search methods including internet, library, literature review, personal interview, visit the location (if available), Create a power point presentation that presents the social policy organization you have selected to research. Your presentation must have between 12 and 15 slides, include a cover slide with your name, class information, date, and name of organization displayed prominently. Presentations must include a final slide containing your list of references.

Your power point must include the following:

A brief history, or origins of the organization. When, why and how was it founded.
Do they have a mission statement, what is it?
Which social cause or policy mandate is being addressed by the organization? What is this organization attempting to educate or inform the public about?
How does this organization get its’ message across to the public?
How is this organization funded?
Here are some examples of the types of organizations that would be appropriate for this assignment. You can either select one of the following organizations. You do not have to select an organization from this list. This is just a starting point for you to begin your research.
