A research argument on how Christianity was used to oppress and manipulate the indigenous people

The two sources that must be used are from jstor: “The Impact of Christianity in Spanish America” and “Gendering the Borderlands: Conquistadors, Women, and Colonialism in Sixteenth-Century Florida

The essay should have only information that defends my argument on how the Spanish used religion to oppress the indigenous people in order to conquer there land. That includes how native females were used and the impact of the indigenous people assimilating.
