This topic has two parts. For the first part, you’ll choose two characters from two different stories we’ve read and put them together in a new story of your own. The story doesn’t have to relate to the plots of the original stories, but the characters you use, in the beginning of your story, have to be true to the characters they were in their original stories (you’re showing your understanding of these characters and how they were shaped by the works they originally appear in). If the characters change, it needs to be as a result of the events and experiences they have in your story.
The second part of the assignment is the rationale. This allows you to explain how you see the characters, how you use the elements of fiction in your story, and what you intend to convey to your readers through the story. This takes some of the pressure off trying your hand at fiction, since this may be a first time writing a story for many of you.
The story should be a minimum of 1000 words (maximum around 2000) and the rationale a minimum of 750 words (maximum 1500 words).
Place an order in 3 easy steps. Takes less than 5 mins.
